Mr. James Walter Harris, Jr.

Mr. James Walter Harris, Jr., affectionately called “Joe Rock,” was born in Sumter County, Georgia on May 16, 1959 to the parentage of the late Mr. James Walter Harris and the late Mrs. Anna Mae Redden Harris. He received his education in the public schools of Sumter County. He was a member of the New Zion Baptist Church. He was no stranger to the church. He was a licensed preacher and led several Bible Study Sessions at New Zion. On February 14, 1986, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to the former Ms. Annie Laura Kitchens. James was a loving, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed. He is preceded in death by his siblings: Deotis Harris, Dorothy Jean Laramore and Osie Dean Carter and a stepdaughter, Teresa Holley.

 

In addition to his wife, Mrs. Annie Laura Kitchens Harris, Plains, GA, he leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Mr. James Walter Harris, III, Americus, GA; four daughters: Mrs. Latonya (Walter) Blackmon, Plains, GA; Ms. Shalonda Harris, Mrs. Lawanda (Prince) Burns and Ms. Matisha Kitchens and friend, Michael Lundy, all of Americus, GA; two sisters, Ms. Ella Brooks, Sanford, FL and Ms. Cillar Clark, Chicago, IL; two stepchildren, Ms. Lavanda Smoak and Mr. Allen Smoak of Smithville, GA; nine grandchildren: Ja’Corey Harris, Cassie Harris, De’Nerria Jackson, Nikerria Jackson, Ns’Shariah Wiggins, Ayden Robinson, Kyle Robinson, Tyera Burns and Marquailis (Javonna) Kitchens; two great grandchildren, Lauryn Kitchens and Ashton Kitchens; a godson, Gregory Harris; three brothers-in-law: Mr. Cornelius Kitchens, Americus, GA; Mr. Wayne (Brandi) Kitchens, Leesburg, GA and Mr. Darwin Keith Hicks, Atlanta, GA; five sisters-in-law: Ms. Alice Genelle Harris, Cobb, GA; Mrs. Janice (George) Pless, Warner Robins, GA; Mrs. Geraldine (Alphonso) Moore, Ms. Sherline Hicks, all of Americus, GA and Ms. Pamela Hicks, Greensboro, NC; his nieces and nephews: Sennica and Sha’Kedra, Meagan, De’Von and Nereus, Betty and Jarrod, Dionna, Linda, Sandy, Lois, Tarsha, Freddie, Ronzell and Keith; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Ms. Patricia Floyd and Mr. Derrick Brooks also survive.

Mr. John L. Paschal was born July 9, 1950, in Sumter County, Georgia to the late Mrs. Florence Clark Paschal and the late Mr. Bobby Paschal. At an early age, he joined the Old Shady Grove Baptist Church. He attended the Middle Flint Behavioral Health Center.

 

He loved the 4th of July because the family celebrated his birthday on that day. His favorite treat was a honey bun and a coke. He loved all of his brothers and sisters, but especially his brother, Bobby, Jr., who passed August 2018.

In addition to his parents and his brother, Bobby, Jr., he is preceded in death by five brothers: Bobby Paschal, Jr., Charles Paschal, Otis Paschal, Moses Lee Paschal and Jessie Lee Paschal and two sisters, Minnie Osborne and Corine Robinson.

 

He leaves to cherish his memories: his sisters, Ms. Eula Breedlove of Americus, GA and Ms. Irene Jones of Miami, FL; his brother, Mr. Eldridge Paschal of Miami, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.

Mr. Eddie Dean Mable

Mr. Eddie Dean Mable was born in Sumter County, Georgia on December 27, 1956, to the parentage of Mr. Joe Lewis Mable and the late Mrs. Mattie Maude Brown Mable. At an early age, he joined the New St. Paul Baptist Church. He received his education in the public schools of Sumter County. He was a line supervisor with Triwood-Woodgrain Molding Company, where he worked for 18 years. He was married to the late Mrs. Retha Breedlove Mable.

 

He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Lewis Mable, Jr. and Jerry Lewis Mable; his grandparents, Claude and Bertha Mable; his great grandparents, Jury and Carrie Banks; three aunts: Leola (Pete) Jackson, Willie Bell Jones and Mattie Banks.

 

In addition to his father, Mr. Joe Lewis Mable of Americus, GA, Eddie leaves to cherish his memories— three sons: Mr. Travis (Lawanda) Breedlove, Mr. Eddie (Kizzy) Mable, Jr. and Mr. Devonta Ingram, all of Americus, GA; two daughters, Ms. Natasha Mable and friend, Mr. Jamie Wallace and Ms. Christy Carter of Americus, GA; two brothers, Mr. David Mable and Mr. Danny Mable, both of Wilmington, DE; five sisters: Ms. Linda Mable, Mrs. Jacqueline (Ryan) Briscoe, Ms. Joeann Mable, Mrs. Ellen (Ondera) Johnson and Mrs. Margarite (Lee) Watson, all of Wilmington, DE; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his aunts and uncles: Mr. George Banks, Mrs. Willie Pearl (Jessie) Bateman, Mrs. Mary Lizzie (Charles) Cooper, Mrs. Georgia (Lawrence) Johnson, Mr. Johnnie Lyles, Ms. Ola Mae Lyles, Mrs. Dorothy (James) Hamilton, Mr. Johnny (Patricia) Mable, Mrs. Patricia (David) Bell and Mrs. Evelyn (Jimmy) Asberry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.
