MR. DANIEL COOPER The Transition Daniel “ Danny” Bradley Cooper became absent from the body and present with the Lord on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Ann and Donald McGraw Center for Caring, Jacksonville, Florida.
The Beginning Danny was born November 22, 1926 in Hemmingway, South Carolina to the parentage of the late Reverend Thomas and Corine Bradley Cooper. He was the fourth child born of fifteen children. Eight siblings preceded him in death: Tommy Wilson, Patricia Walton, Robert Lee Cooper, Lillie Mae Mitchner and Bessie Young. The Shepherd, Scholar, and Veteran At an early age, Danny accepted Christ in his life. Because he was a descendent from a Christian family, he was taught to believe and love the Lord. He was educated in the Johnston County School System in North Carolina. After graduation, Danny enlisted in the United States Army and served this country during World War II. The Laborer Danny was a hard worker. For almost fifty years, he worked with the United Exposition Company until his retirement on December 16, 1986. Throughout his lifetime, he was also a mechanic, carpenter, gardener, and chief. This multi-talented husband, father, and friend had a great sense of humor. His labor was not in vain because, he was truly a great provider for his family and an inspiration to all! The Matrimony Danny was joined in holy matrimony to Dorothy Bell Cooper in 1972. She was his devoted wife for 38 years. In Danny’s days of failing health, Dorothy’s devotion to him did not stop. She worked countless days and night caring and providing him with the best of care.
