MR. CRAIG CHAVAR EDWARDS

 

             Craig Chavar Edwards was born January 21, 1976 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to the parentage of Mr. Charlie Keith Edwards III and Ms. Brenda Jean Zackery.  He received his elementary and junior high school education in New Brunswick, NJ. Craig received his high school diploma and a Certificate in Masonry from Job Corps in Gainesville, FL. Later, he pursued a career in commercial truck driving. He enjoyed driving for 12 years and was employed by Covenant Transport, in Chattanooga, Tennessee for the past three years.

Craig attended First Baptist Church in New Brunswick, NJ in his early years and recently accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at Friendship Baptist Church in Americus, GA.  He enjoyed gymnastics, video games, sports and dancing. Craig was a humble and just man. His kindness and humility touched all our lives. There was always a smile on his face to everyone he met. He dearly loved his children and his family. Craig was married to Ms. Vanita Gillis of Fayetteville, NC and to this union a son was born.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Charlie Keith (Mary) Edwards, III of Sanford, FL and Ms. Brenda Jean Zackery Nazzare of Covington, GA, Craig leaves to cherish his memories, three beautiful children, Terra Edwards of Cocoa Beach, FL, Lamari Edwards of Americus, GA and Craig Chavar Edwards Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; a devoted Fiancé, Ms. Sharon Tarver of Americus, GA; his grandmother, Mrs. Leola Zackery of South River NJ; two sisters, Mrs. Charlene (Micah) Battle of Lithonia, GA and Mrs. Charnique (Christopher) Grier of Covington, GA; two brothers, Mr. Charlie Keith (Olliestine) Edwards, IV, Lithonia, GA and Mr. Keith Williams of Decatur, GA; special caregivers; an uncle Mr. Leonard Edwards of Vero Beach, FL and an aunt, Ms. Hazel Kirkpatrick of New Brunswick, NJ and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.
