MRS. MINNIE MITCHELL

Mrs. Minnie Jewel Williams Mitchell was born in Sumter County, Georgia on April 23, 1944 to the parentage of the late Mr. Walter Williams and the late Mrs. Gladys Jackson Williams. She attended public schools of Sumter County. She was employed at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center in the Dietary Department. at an early age, she joined the New Mt. Mariah Baptist Church. On January 18, 1964, she was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Sammie Mitchell. To this union five children were born. She departed this life on Friday, May 7, 2010 in the Lillian Carter Nursing Center, Plains, Georgia.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, two daughters, Ms. Erma Jean Mitchell and Ms. Lakesha Michelle Mitchell, Americus, GA; three sons, Mr. Sammie Mitchell, Jr., Mr. Victor Lamar Mitchell, Americus, GA and Mr. Eric Lamont Mitchell, Peachtree City, GA; two sisters, Mrs. Johnny Mae (Jimmie) Hale, Jonesboro, GA and Mrs. Gladys Delores (Reggie) Davis, San Diego, CA; five brothers, Mr. Simmie Lee Williams, Albany, GA, Mr. Fletcher Lee (Anita) Williams, Mr. Grover Earl (Janice) Williams, Americus, GA, Mr. Daniel Williams, Los Angeles, CA and Mr. Edward Lee (Patricia) Williams, Windsor, CT; her brothers-in-law, Mr. Roosevelt (Bobbie Jean) Mitchell, Mr. Eddie Frank (Barbara) Mitchell, Mr. John (Eva Jewel) Mitchell, Americus, GA, Mr. Clarence (Miranda) Mitchell, Desoto, GA, Mr. Willie Mitchell, Hartford, CT and Mr. Jessie (Claudia Mae) Mitchell, Passaic, NJ; her sisters-in-law, Mrs. Doshia (James) Watts, Columbus, GA, Ms. Erma Jean Brown and Ms. Arria Dean Brown, Buffalo, NY; nineteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends also survive.
