MOTHER BETTY J. PRINCE

           Mrs. Betty Jo Bishop Prince was born in Sumter County, Georgia on August 24, 1934 to the parentage of the late Emroe Bishop and the late Jessie Mae Miller Bishop.  She received her education in the public schools of Terrell County.  In 1976, she joined Shipp Chapel Baptist Church where she was the Mother of the Church.  She married Junior Lee Prince, Jr. on May 3, 1970.

 

           She is preceded in death by her husband, Junior Lee Prince, Jr.; five brothers Sammie Lee Pope, Joe Tom Bishop, Herschel Bishop, Silas Bishop and Paul Bishop.

 

           She leaves to cherish her memories: two sisters, Annie B. Nelson and Carrie Williams both of Americus, GA; two brothers, Emroe Bishop and Freddie (JoAnn) Bishop both of Americus, GA; one daughter, Linda (Michael) Adams, Miami, FL; two sisters-in-law, Mattie R. Prince and Mary Prince both of Americus, GA; three brothers-in-law, J.T. Prince, Thomas Prince and James Prince all of Americus, GA; nieces, Barbara Williams, Dr. Deborah (Eddie) Jones, Evette Thomas, Yvonne (Rev. Curtis) Iverson,  Dr. Michele Seay, Shirley Prince, Merry (James) Gordon, Aretha (Reginald ) McKinney, Betty Coleman, Carrie Marie Bishop, Shirley Blakely, Sandra (Dwight) Harris, Carolyn Hoston, Sarah Hoston, Sandra Rudolph all of Americus, GA; Theresa Burks of Albany, GA and Bernice Pope, of Atlanta, GA; nephews, Freddie Bishop, Larry (Tomika) Prince,  Anthony Terry, Jonathan Bishop, Emory Bishop, George Holston, James Edward Pope and Daryl Green all of Americus, GA, Rev. Curtis (Teresa) Bishop of Phenix City, AL, Henry Lee Pope of Rochester, NY; nephews, Tony (Yvonne) Pope, Walter Lee Pope, and Thomas Pope; god children, Rev. Daniel (Clara) Clinton of Leesburg, GA; Deacon Marvin (Mary) Hunt of Plains, GA and Diane Hart of Americus, GA; a devoted cousin, Addie Carson of Americus, GA; a devoted neighbor, David (Annie Dean) Shepherd of Americus, GA and a host of great nieces, great nephews cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.
