Veteran Eddie Charles Johnson was born in Sumter County, Georgia on April 15, 1955 to the parentage of the late Mr. Robert Lee Johnson and Mrs. Lady B. Sims. Eddie received his education in the Sumter County School System. He was a member of Shipp Chapel Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran, where he proudly served his country.

           He leaves to cherish his memories; his mother, Ms. Lady B. Sims, Americus, GA; two sons, Mr. Tony Johnson, Americus, GA and Mr. Anthony Johnson, Columbus, GA; one granddaughter, Miss Asia Johnson, Warner Robins, GA; seven sisters, Mrs. Hattie (Rev. Freddie) Mann, Mrs. Isabell (Shelly) Tyson, Ms. Mary Hurley, Ms. Lassander Hurley, Mrs. Ruby (Ellis) Wilson all of Americus, GA and Ms. Christine Johnson, Hawkinsville, GA; five brothers, Mr. Robert Johnson, Jr., Mr. Johnny Lee Sims of Americus, GA, Mr. David (Carolyn) Sims, Warwick, GA, Mr. Michael (Lashaun) Johnson, Columbus, GA and Mr. Leonard Johnson of Hawkinsville, GA; three aunts, Ms. Lillie Mae Cladd, Ms. Elnora Grivin of Americus, GA and Missionary Lois Taylor, Warner Robins, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends also survive.
