MRS. FRANCES MOORE PARKS Mrs. Frances Moore Parks was born in Sumter County, Georgia on April 2, 1945 to the parentage of the late Mr. A.C. Chambliss and the late Mrs. Georgia Moore. At an early age, she joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she served faithfully. She later became co-founder with her husband at Ambassadors of Christ Outreach Ministries. It was made apparent early that she was a loved child of God. Following graduation from Sumter High School in 1963, she left Americus, Georgia to broaden her horizon. In 1963, she joined the United States Air Force, where she served loyally until 1969, completing her years as a SGT. Education being such an important aspect of her life, she attended the University of Maryland while serving in the United States Air Force. She also attended Langston University, the University of Arkansas, Little Rock. In 1986, she received her Bachelor of Science from Georgia Southwestern State University, two years later in 1988, she received a Master of Science in Education. For twenty years she worked as an educator throughout the Sumter County Public School System before retiring. As fate would have it, while serving in the United States Air Force, she met the man whom she would spend the rest of her wonderful life with. She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 45 years, Mr. Henry Sandy Parks, Jr., Americus, GA; two loving daughters, Mrs. BeShea Parks (Keith) Terry, Americus, GA and Mrs. Eugeania Faye (Leon) Ryines, Aurora, CO; one son, Mr. Shelby Lamont Parks; one loving sister, Ms. Florence Moore and Sam; two loving brothers, Mr. George Stanley (Julia Pearl) Sims all of Americus, GA and Mr. Henry (JoAnn) Moore, Sr., Madison, WI; eight loving grandchildren, Azlyn Daya Terry, Jaden Alyce Terry, Kemuel Shamir Terry, Tyler Parks, Brodrick Parks, Darian Hall, Shakelby Parks and Shambricka Parks all of Americus, GA; three nieces, Mrs. Vernita (Paul) Sampson, Ms. Tara Mann and Ms. Stacy Moore of Americus, GA; two nephews, Mr. Ulrick (Tomeka) Mann and Mr. Henry (Ametra) Moore, Jr. of Valdosta, GA; devoted friends, Mrs. Minnie (Eugene) Engram, Ms. Patricia Sims and Mrs. Gloria (James) Bryant; one god-daughter, Ms. Kytira (Michael) Reddick; one god-son, Mr. Leonard Tyson; cousins other relatives and friends also survive.
