MR. VICTOR WILLIAMS

Mr. Victor Williams, Jr. was born in Millen, Jenkins County, Georgia on July 17, 1932 to the parentage of the late Mr. Victor Williams and the late Mrs. Luevater Robinson Williams. Victor received his education through the Broward County School System in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was employed for many years with the city of Fort Lauderdale. He co-owned and operated Williams Cleaning Services with his wife the late Mary Williams and also ran a local company with his brother the late Tommy Lee Williams that built pools throughout Southern Florida. Later, he retired and moved to Americus, Georgia.  He is also preceded in death by two daughters, Ms. Mary Wright and Ms. Patricia Williams.

Affectionately known as “Big Brother” or “Mr. Vic,” he left a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with. He was known to keep you laughing and loved to party. Never far from a conversation, he was very opinionated and always determined to prove his point, no matter what. Entering into a disagreement with him was sure to be a waste of time because if he was wrong, he wasn't going to admit it and if he was right, you weren't going to forget it.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted friend, Ms. Claudette Miles, Americus, GA; two sisters, Ms. Dorothy “Doll” Horne and Ms. Juanita “Nita” Maxwell, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three brothers, Mr. Leroy “Roy” Williams, Mr. Eugene “Babby” Williams, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Mr. Eddie “Q” Williams, New York; three daughters, Ms. Queenie Archer, Mrs. Paulette (Ellery) Shepard, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Ms. Evonne “Tuni” Williams, Palm Bay, FL; two sons, Mr. Victor “Charles” Williams, III and Mr. Ricky (Peaches) Williams, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Janie (Harold) Thorpe, Middletown, CT, Mrs. Mattie (Charlie) Bell, Americus, GA and Mrs. Clara (Kenneth) Foster, HArtford, CT; three brothers-in-law, Mr. Robert Thomas, Americus, GA, Mr. Fred (Sara) Thomas, Hartford, CT and Mr. Walter Thomas, Bloomfield, CT; twenty grandchildren, including a devoted grandson, Mr. Walter “Bo” Harris, Americus, GA; ten great grandchildren, including Mr. Thaddius “Thad” Harris, whom he called his personal angel; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.
