MR. WILBUR J. JOSEY

Mr. Wilbur Gene Josey was born in Sumter County, Georgia on September 26, 1953 to the parentage of the late Mr. Eddie Lee Josey and the late Mrs. Fannie Mae Smith Josey.  He received his education in the public schools of Sumter County.  He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.  Mr. Josey was employed by the City of Americus for over 23 years.

He leaves to mourn his passing, two sons, Mr. Eric (Tasha) Green and Mr. Jeffery Green, both of Americus, GA; two daughters, Mrs. Keisha (Damaion) Cross of Americus, GA and Ms. Melissa Simpson of Vidalia, GA; four brothers, Mr. Clarence (Jewel) Josey, Mr. Eddie Will Josey, Mr. Jimmy (Doris) Josey and Mr. James (Mary) Josey, all of Americus, GA; three sisters, Ms. Lena Josey, Mrs. Mary (James) Russell, Mrs. Carmen (William) Clark and Ms. Lorena Josey and friend, Mr. Lonnie Payne all of Americus, GA; an aunt, Mrs. Ida (William) Floyd of Americus, GA; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including devoted friends, Ms. Doris King, Mr. Horace Cottle, Mrs. Mary Bobb, Mr. Leon Bobb and his Jefferson Street friends also survive.
