NANCY MAE BIVINS TOOKES

Mrs. Nancy Mae Bivins Tookes was born in Sumter County, Georgia on October 3, 1952 to the parentage of the late Mr. Albert Bivins and the late Mrs. Easter Ware Bivins. She received her education in the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate from Staley High School in 1970. She attended South Georgia Technical College. At an early age, she joined the Mt. Salem Baptist Church. Later she moved her membership to United Holiness Headquarters under the leadership Bishop Arthur Fulton. She served faithfully and was a Greeter. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Lee and Willie Frank Bivins and a sister, Catherine Williams. 

 

She leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, Mr. Toriano (Kandice) Bivins, Warner Robins, GA and Mr. Shantwan (Mercedes) Tookes, Americus, GA; one daughter, Ms. Moneka Tookes and fiance' Leon, Kennesaw, GA; two brothers, Mr. Albert (Johnie) Bivins, Miami, FL and Mr. Curtis (Joyce) Bivins, Harrisburg, PA; four sisters, Mrs. Emma (Oscar) Cooke, Americus, GA, Mrs. Minnie (Jerome) Weatherspoon, Buffalo, NY, Ms. Mildred Cooper and Ms. Maude Penn of Harrisburg, PA; one aunt, Ms. Ossie Holmes, Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Toriano Neville, Kaderica Hoston, Kendyll Bivins, Shydai Tookes, Sarai Tookes, Jaylen Tookes, Devin Williams; her step grandchildren, Briana, Jaylen, Haleigh, Tyah and Camron; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends also survive.
