MRS. ANNIE ANDERSON HAMILTON Mrs. Annie Laura Anderson Hamilton was born in Sumter County, Georgia on February 9, 1925 to the parentage of the late Mr. John Anderson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mae Ola Ellis Anderson. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age, Annie gave her life to Christ. She practiced under the Baptist denomination and was a dedicated member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was a retired domestic worker. Annie was married to the late Mr. Roy Hamilton. She is preceded in death by four siblings and three children: Mr. James Stewart, Jr., Mr. Tommy Stewart Dodson and Ms. Carolyn Carter.
She leaves to mourn her passing, one daughter, Ms. Jacqueline Hamilton, Americus, GA; eight grandchildren: Mrs. Cherita (Justin) Gordon, Cartersville, GA, Mr. Clyde C. “Buddy” Carter, III, Mr. Charles Christopher (Lynn) Carter, Mr. Carlton Cornelius Carter, Mr. Craig (Elaine) Carter, Mr. Carlos (Trina) Carter, Mr. Cederick Carter, all of Rome, GA and Mrs. Natacha (Christopher) Burke, McDonough, GA; forty great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Mr. Horace (Cathy) Hammond of New York; one aunt, Mrs. Gladys Clark, Americus, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends survive.
