MR. IKE HARRIS, JR.

Mr. Ike Harris, Jr. was born in Sumter County, Georgia on October 18, 1942 to the parentage of the late Mr. Ike Harris and the late Mrs. Berida Mae Waters-Harris. At an early age, he joined the Welcome Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until his health failed. He was employed by Calhoun Oil Company for over twenty years. In 1969, he married Ms. Velma Dean Harris.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Ruby Mathis Harris, a son, Mr. Willie R. Harper, four brothers, Mr. David Harris, Mr. Luke Harris, Mr. James Harris and Mr. Romeo Harris.

In addition to his devoted wife of 41 years, Mrs. Velma Dean Harris, he leaves to cherish his memories, five children, Mr. Dwight B. (Victoria) Harris, Mr. Gregory W. (Stephanie) Harris, Ms. Peggy Harris, Mr. Kip Harris and Mr. Ulysses Harper; two step children, Mrs. Barbara (Willie) Green and Mrs. Diane (William) Smith; five sisters, Ms. Virgirie King, Ms. Rena Mae (James) Walker, Mrs. Beridia Mae (Otis) White, Ms. Dorothy Owens and Ms. Delois Baldwin; two brothers, Mr. Woodrow Harris and Mr. Anno (Betty) Harris; twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends also survive.
