MRS. EUNICE BOONE ALFORD
Ms. Eunice Mae Boone Alford was born in Sumter County, Georgia on May 10, 1947 to the parentage of the late Mr. Arthur Boone Sr. and the late Mrs. Annie Mae Reynolds Boone. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She would quite often fellowship at Oasis World Outreach. She loved the Lord and enjoyed listening to her gospel music each morning. She was affectionately known and loved; she was no stranger wherever she went. She dearly loved her children and was especially a proud grandmother of eight. She loved life and energized at just the thought of being with her family for joyous occasions. She received her education in Sumter County and her fondest memories were Sumter High School which she quite often talked about. She frequently shared with her children and grandchildren about the different activities that she participated in such as cheerleader, dance team, and talent shows. She was a 1965 graduate of Sumter High School. After 27 years, she retired from Middle Flint Behavior Services as Instructor Senior. She was an income tax preparer for 30+ years. She is preceded in death by six brothers, Henry Lee Boone, Willie Raymond Boone, Lee Oner Boone, John Arthur Boone, Oscar Lawson and J.C. Lawson, one sister, Rosa Boone Perry. She was formerly married to the late Mr. Pearlman Alford and to this union they were blessed with three daughters. She leaves to mourn her passing, her children, Mrs. Natacha (Roosevelt) Merritt, Ms. Teresa Alford, Americus, GA, Mrs. Stacy (Michael) Williams, Plains, GA; four brothers, Mr. Arthur L. (Alice) Boone Jr., Mr. Willie L. (Brenda) Boone, Mr. Robert (Barbara) Boone all of Americus, GA and Mr. Charlie L. (Angeline) Boone, Plainfield, NJ; two sisters, Mrs. Mary L. (Charlie) Seay, Ms. Gladys Boone Monts all of Americus, GA; three uncles, Mr. Bennie (Mattie) Reynolds, Mr. Phillip (Mamie) Reynolds, Americus, GA and Mr. Otis Reynolds, Washington, DC; eight grandchildren, Jantraveus Merritt, Farmington, Connecticut, Cedric Ogletree Jr. of Americus, GA, Avery Merritt of Atlanta, GA, Alyssa Larkins, Cody Ogletree, Delisha Larkins, Asheia Merritt, and Eldric Williams all of Americus, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends also survive.
