MRS. IDA DIXON was born in Peach County, GA on May 5, 1935.  At an early age she moved to Americus, GA with the late Walter and Maria Hicks.  She grew up in Americus, attending the public schools and working for Magnolia Manor Nursing Center for over 14 years and also for Carter's Cleaners for many years. In July 1990, she moved to Miami, FLA where she remained until she was called home by her maker. 

Mrs. Dixon was a member of the Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Johnny White.  There she servedas the President of the Usher's Board #1 until her health failed.  She is preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Louise Dixon.
