DEACON JAMES LEWIS

Mr. Lewis was born on April 10, 1933 in Stoney Creek (Sussex county), VA to the parentage of the late Mr. Down Lewis and Mrs. Maxine Hopkins Lewis.  He lived most of his life in Baltimore, Md. where he was educated and worked in industrial cleaning service.  While there, he was an active member and deacon at the First Baptist Church.  He moved to Americus, GA several years ago. 

 

He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted mother, Mrs. Maxine Price, Americus, GA;  two daughters, Ms. Pecola Lewis, Austine, TX and Ms. Crystal Lewis, Baltimore, MD; two loving sisters, Mrs. Barbara (Danny) Robinson, Americus, GA and Mrs. Patricia Taft, Plains, GA; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive.
