MS. AGGIE MAE MERCER HOLT

Ms. Aggie Mae Mercer Holt was born in Sumter County, Georgia on September 15, 1937 to the parentage of the late Mr. Lonnie Mercer and the late Mrs. Susie Mae Evans Mercer. She was educated in the Public Schools of Sumter County. She joined the New Zion Baptist Church at and early age, where she sang in the choir and served faithfully as a church member until her health failed.  She was employed for many years and retired from  Davidson Textron Automotive.  She is preceded in death by a daughter, Ms. Develyn Brunson and three brothers, Mr. Willie C. Mercer, Mr. Winfred Mercer and Mr. Oscar Mercer.

 

She leaves to mourn her passing one son Mr. Henry (Doris) Holt, III, Fort Riley, KS; one daughter Mrs. P. Anita (Richard) Myrick, Columbus, GA; four brothers, Mr.  Lonnie Mercer, Mr. Richard, Mercer, Mr. Jessie (Theartis) Mercer, Mr.  Ernest (Annie Clara) Mercer, Leslie, GA; two sisters Ms. Nettie Ruth Dunning, Brooklyn, NY and Ms. Bobbie Jean Mercer, Minnesota; an aunt, Mrs. Adell “Bunch” Mason, Orlando, FL; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends also survive.
