BROTHER ROOSEVELT KINDER

Brother Roosevelt Kinder was born in Iron City, Seminole County, Georgia on November 15, 1934 to the parentage of the late Mr. Richard Kinder and the late Mrs. Elizabeth Lee  Kinder. He received his education in the public schools of Seminole County. He attended Savannah State Industrial Arts School on a baseball scholarship. On November 16, 1955, he entered the United States Army, where he received numerous awards and was honorably discharged on November 6, 1957. On June 30, 1957, he married the former Ms. Alice Ruth Dismuke. Their union was blessed with two beautiful daughters. One daughter, Jayschree Kinder precedes him in death. In 1970, he was baptized into the Jehovah’s Witnesses congregation. He was known for his door to door activity talking about Jehovah. He was employed by Cooper Lighting for a number of years and the Board of Education as a bus driver for 10 years.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Alice D. Kinder, Americus, GA; one daughter, Ms. Behunco Kinder, Kansas City, KS; one sister, Ms. Annie Lois Brooks, Sanford, FL; his sisters and brother-in-law, Ms. Ruthie Sutton, Smithville, GA, Ms. Carrie Jackson, Ms. Anna Lee Dismuke, Mr. Oliver (Beatrice) Dismuke of Miami, FL, Ms. Claudia Dismuke, Hartford, CT; and a host of nieces, including Mrs. Mildred (Silas) Swint, Killeen, TX, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends also survive.
